Moving up from hostess, server and bookkeeper, Heather Nelson is named new Banquet Coordinator of Cattlemens in Petaluma.

PETALUMA, CALIF. Date: September 21, 2004 - Cattlemens Restaurant would like to congratulate Heather Nelson on her recent move in to the position of Banquet Coordinator at the Petaluma location. Heather has been with Cattlemens for six years now, starting out as a hostess, working her way up to head hostess, food server and finally bookkeeper. Nelson became Banquet Coordinator in September and has always had her eye on the position.

"I've always wanted to do this job," said Nelson. "Since I've worked here it's always seemed like something I'd love doing," she added. "Now that I'm in this position, I really enjoy it," continued Nelson.

Since finding herself in the new position, Nelson has continually moved up in the Cattlemens company. Trying her hand at various positions, Nelson finds that with dedication, one can climb the Cattlemens ladder and advance.

"This is the best company I've worked for," smiled Nelson. "You can actually see people move up the ladder and advance," she added.

Comfortably in her new position, Nelson reflects on what exactly drew her to wanting to be Banquet Coordinator.

"I like to meet new people," said Nelson without hesitation. "I also like marketing," she added. "It's so big and there's so much to be done, there are so many things that it involves," continued Nelson. "One of my favorite parts of it is decorating," she said.

Keeping with her interest in marketing, Nelson aspires to become an event and wedding planner, one day owning her own company. She's worked in a variety of positions and received her Associate of Arts degree certified as an Administrative Assistant from Santa Rosa Junior College. Nelson plans to develop her position at Cattlemens by implementing new ideas and bringing in a fresh perspective on things.

"We've been running the same contests and decorations for years now, it's time to bring in something new," said Nelson. "I want to get more people involved and update the marketing plan for this store," she added.

Aside from her new position, Nelson enjoys a cornucopia of activities include shopping, eating out and water sports. Nelson has a love for the water and never turns down an opportunity to be at the lake. In her spare time, Heather enjoys all types of music, emphasizing that she especially fancies 80's rock music.

Cattlemens would like to welcome Heather Nelson into her new position as Banquet Coordinator of the Petaluma location and congratulate her promotion.
